'Living the Dream' - What it's like this winter...

So here's the deal...there are heaps of EA candidate's 'living the dream' in Canada...RIGHT NOW!!  So we thought it was time for you to stop taking our word for just how great a season with EA is...and, well start hearing it straight from them! Check out what Fiona had to say....

"So was on the bus out to creekside, vaguely awake and it was the one that goes to the athletes village so it was full of drunken celebrators one being the swiss ski jumper who won yesterday! He even had the gold medal around his neck! Was gutted I didnt have my camera but had a good yarn to him and he's a nice dude. Couldnt believe it! Chatting with a gold medalist, very cool!

I’m working in the workforce tent feeding all the Olympic workers from creekside base. Only done a few shifts so far and all at random times, but it's amazing to feel the buzz around here!

Ten Reasons to Tune In to the 2010 Olympic Games....

10. The Underdogs - when else are you going to get to check out athletes from Jamacia, Bermuda or Grand Cayman competing in a Winter sport!?! Now that's dedication...we're pretty sure there's way more sun than snow in thOse countries!

9. You call it Home - Olympic mania is like a shot in the arm of nationalism...we don't care what country you are from...your athletes are on the line and by cheering them on, well they are sure to make you proud!

8. The white stuff - So maybe you don't have a winter wonderland in your backyard, but watching the winter games will get you reminiscing about your days on the snow...before you know it you will be planning your next ski trip....or Instructor Internship program!?!?

7. Fashion statements - There are some serious style points going around this year at the Olympics...we know it is hard to make a lycra speed suit look cool...but the US mens snowboard team get's props for their denim designed snowpants!

6. What is that? - There are several VERY random winter olympic sports...from watching a skier stop mid race to shoot at targets to curling...hmmm....we dont even know what curling is... but when else are you going to be able to catch these wacky Olympic sports in action?

5. The shiny stuff - It's just cool that they take home gold, silver and bronze medals...I mean forget the days of trophies and cups and let's get back to basics!

4. Death defying stunts -  Seriously, have you watched the aerials and moguls during the games?  These top shelf athletes make a 1080 backflip look like a walk in the park...we're impressed! 

3. Water cooler chit chat - Did you see the US hand another gold medal upset over to the Canadians yesterday?  No wonder they don't get along!  You can be IN THE KNOW if you watch the show!

2. Good TV - Seriously, what else are you going to watch on TV during the month of February??  The reruns of CSI don't get any better the second time around!

1. It's the Olympics!!!  - They only come around ONCE every 4 years...so really, do you need ten reasons to watch??  We didn't think so!
